It's Scary! PDF Print E-mail

Yes, it can be a bit daunting at first. After all, we're talking about creating a powerful, beautiful, dynamic website - perhaps a business website that you're hoping will be very profitable. So be patient, and understand that although Joomla makes it all easy, "easy" is "relative". It doesn't mean you won't have to think, read and learn.

Understand too that the initial setup and configuration of your new website will take a lot more work and know-how than updating and maintaining your site on a day-to-day basis.

For this reason, you may consider hiring someone to get things started. Whether you do it yourself, or hire a pro there are things you should know that just aren't in the Joomla manual because they pertain to all websites, especially business websites. So before you begin, read the articles and watch the videos on CompuSolver.com's section on "Website Building Tutorials".

When you return, you'll find everything you need to setup your new Joomla website, from deciding on a domain name all the way through installation and setup. (We have that much mostly done) Then we'll move on to things like installing a new template; setting up your site with your content; installing modules and components and more. (within a week, hopefully) We'll keep it simple, avoid technical jargon and use lots of pictures.

While you're thinking about it, you may want to bookmark this page so you can come back anytime. Also, consider telling others about us too, after all, we're here to help.

The Joomla! team has millions of good reasons to be smiling about the Joomla! 1.5. In its current incarnation, it's had millions of downloads, taking it to an unprecedented level of popularity. The new code base is almost an entire re-factor of the old code base. The user experience is still extremely slick but for developers the API is a dream. A proper framework for real PHP architects seeking the best of the best.

If you're a former Mambo User or a 1.0 series Joomla! User, 1.5 is the future of CMSs for a number of reasons. It's more powerful, more flexible, more secure, and intuitive. Our developers and interface designers have worked countless hours to make this the most exciting release in the content management system sphere.

Go on ... get your FREE copy of Joomla! today and spread the word about this benchmark project.
